Software Solutions Engineer

Job Description:

The Software Solutions Engineer is responsible for ongoing daily customer technical support. A software solutions engineer must interact with customers in a professional manner to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about InterPro Solutions’ products and services. In addition, a software solutions engineer will work with other InterPro’s software and solutions engineers in providing solutions to customers’ issues and requests.

We are looking for a well-rounded Software Solutions Engineer that has the ability to learn our software. You will be supporting, gathering information, and troubleshooting customer issues by evaluating, analyzing, and identifying symptoms related to our company’s software application. You will be working with our talented software engineers in resolving the identified issues.

job Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years in a technical support engineer role.
  • Troubleshoot InterPro’s various products and applications.
  • Provide customer support via support phone line, email and website.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Track and document troubleshooting tasks and activities related to customers’ issues.
  • Connect to customers’ servers online to help with InterPro’s software application issues.
  • Support internal engineering group to solve customer and product related problems.
  • Improve product quality and customer service.
  • Work with internal software engineers in helping with testing and QA tasks.
  • Have ability to manage priorities, follow-through on issues until closure.

Education & experience:

  • Bachelor’s (required) with focus in information systems / software engineering.

preferred skills:

  • Experience working with object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, or C#).
  • Experience in web technologies (CSS, JavaScript, JSP, XML/XSL, JSON, Spring Framework, and ASP.NET).
  • Experience in troubleshooting performance issues with relational databases.
  • Experience in troubleshooting networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, Load-balancing).
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Operating Systems/Hyper V
    • VMWare (vCenter, vSphere)
    • Linux knowledge a plus
  • Ability to write small test applications in either Java, C#, or C/C++.
  • Familiar with Android, iOS, or Windows mobile application development.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be an integral part of ensuring that our products are robust and coded with the best conventions. You will experience working with the full spectrum of our teams, including the managing partners to decide what new, exciting features to develop and the core engineering team to understand the software code in development. You will be the liaison between development teams to facilitate an organized and streamlined development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with various teams throughout the product feature development life cycle; from the selection of features, to the development effort, to integration testing as the feature is finalized and released.
  • Perform various testing types and techniques such as exploratory, functional, black box, browser compatibility, end-to-end, user acceptance, service level and regression.
  • Develop and execute test scripts/cases based on business requirements, functional and technical requirements, user stories and business use cases.
  • Track and document troubleshooting tasks and activities related to customers’ issues
  • Coordinate QA tasks with team members.
  • Facilitate defect review/triage meetings.
  • Perform regression testing on different builds and maintain the software defect tracking database.
  • Provide QA support for scheduled deployments/releases.
  • Have ability to manage priorities, follow-through on issues until closure.

job Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field (mathematics, EE).
  • At least one-year experience working with object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java, C++, or C#).
  • Must have working experience in SQL, Java, C/C++/C#, and HTML.
  • Possess knowledge of smartphone (iPhone/iPad, Windows 10, or Android) applications and related technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-managing with strong initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
