End of support announcement for Maximo 6.2.x

On April 10, 2012, support for IBM Maximo 6.2x, and supporting components was announced via IBM Announcement Letter #912-059.

Effective September 30, 2013, fixes, patches, and telephone support are no longer provided for Maximo 6.2x and same version components and add-ons.
We encourage you to plan now to upgrade to IBM Maximo version 7.5 and take advantage of the valuable functionality that is offered in the latest product release. Furthermore, there is a proven path to upgrade with our Maximo upgrade utility. This upgrade utility is part of the core product and therefore available to you at no cost.

To further enhance your upgrade experience and planning, we are recommending managed transitions through IBM Global Business Services (GBS) or through your trusted IBM Business Partner that have been trained on the Maximo 7.5 upgrade process. IBM encourages you to contact our Global Business Services organization to receive further information about product upgrade options.

Extended Maintenance is available if you are unable to upgrade at this time
Please note that if you are current on IBM Subscription and Support, and are unable to upgrade before September 30, 2013, you do have the option to purchase an annual Extended Service Contract. To be eligible, clients must show that they are preparing an IBM Maximo upgrade roadmap. Extended service is priced at a premium and only available for two years.
