Eric has been with InterPro for five years and works as a Senior Software Engineer and Project Lead. His main responsibilities include project management, new client implementations, and software development. His dog, Jiya, is a frequent visitor to the office and is beloved by everyone.
1. What does your day-to-day in the office look like?
The work I do changes every day. Most of my work focuses on client projects, managing large client implementations and responding to client inquiries. Since I have a background as a Software Engineer, I often assist our Development Team by resolving issues and testing new features.
2. What’s your favorite thing about your job?
This job allows me to work on a variety of different projects at a given time. I like that I still have the time to develop and write code, while also managing projects and assisting our clients.
3. What’s the best thing about working at InterPro?
InterPro is constantly adapting to changes in the industry and exploring new technologies. Currently, we are in the midst of revamping some of our products to meet changing client and market needs.
We also have a dog-friendly workplace which means I get to bring my dog, Jiya, to the office with me. It’s been a great way to socialize her and the staff enjoys taking a break to spend time with her. Lastly, as the Chief Snack Officer, I order a bunch of different snacks for everyone in the office to enjoy each month.
4. What is one of your proudest moments working at InterPro?
My first large project consisted of implementing EZMaxMobile and Maximo configurations for one of our higher education clients. We created training videos to assist with the onboarding process of the mobile rollout, which was a first for our company. The 20+ EZMaxMobile videos were used to train current and future staff members. Overall, the project was a success!
5. What do you like to do outside of the office?
During my free time, I enjoy working out and skiing. I’ve recently started brewing beer and smoking meat, which has been a real learning experience! I try to stay up to date on the latest TV shows, with my current favorite being Billions on Showtime.
6. What’s a fun fact about you that people may not know?
For the past few years, I’ve gone on an annual camping trip to Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. Maine is one of my favorite states – it has a little bit of everything, no matter the season!
7. What advice would you give to others in your industry?
I think it’s important for people in this industry to be self-starters and always motivated to learn more. I encourage all of our staff to accept difficult assignments and be willing to learn new skills throughout the project.
