Hello fellow Maximo users!
My team and I have been having a small issue with the Work Center feature.
We've created two security groups called WOEXEC and WOSUP with the appropriate Application/Object Structure permissions for each respective role. Placing a user in each of these groups, and testing for core functionality within work centers is working as we believe it should. The issue lies within Work Order creation/searching. Initially, we noticed that we are unable to see/search for any of the existing work orders that were in Maximo before the Work Center configuration. When we create a work order within the Maximo UI, we do not see that work order in the Work Center application. However, when we create a work order within the Work Center application, we do see this work order inside of the Maximo UI. We thought that maybe we missed granting an object structure permission, but this behavior persists even in the MAXADMIN security group where almost every permission is granted.
We thought that there could be a flag in the database that was being set to control whether or not a specific work order is displayed in either of the interfaces so we ran a few queries to find out. Other than the basic work order parameters being different, we were not able to find any sort of flag that would explain the behavior we are seeing.
So far, we have tried this in 3 different environments, both yielding the same results. Has anyone else discovered this sort of behavior? Is there something obvious that we are missing? What other things should we try to debug this issue?
