I’m not sure if I have a bad install of Maximo 7.6, need to grant additional permissions to maxadmin, or if IBM changed things but I can’t find two common things.

First, Migration Manager:  I am trying to upload and deploy a MIF/MEA package using the Migration Manager and there isn’t he “upload” or “deploy package” icons at the top of the screen.  I have done this countless times in Maximo 7.1 and 7.5.

Second, Application Designer:  I am trying to add custom fields on the Asset screen and it won’t allow me.  In fact, it doesn’t even give me the option.  When I click on the “Control Palette”, instead of getting a dialog with all of the icons I can drag and drop, all I get is two radio buttons asking if I want to “Show” or “Hide” labels.

I have checked the “Add/Modify Toolbar Menu” in the Application Designer to make sure the icons for the “Upload” and “Deploy Package” were set to visible for the Migration Manager and they are.  I have checked the permissions for maxadmin in the security group and granted maxadmin full permissions to the migration manager.

OK, I figured out the migration manager issue but still can’t figure out the application designer issue.

I still can’t figure out why I don’t have any icons when I click on the Control Pallet in Application Designer.

Maximo Software features include capabilities for assets, labor and inventory management, combined with service management functionality. It keeps track of the asset data, including attributes, repair history, etc., as well as spare parts lists associated with interactive drawings of parts and components presented visually. I think, Once go the instruction which is prescribed on its label and recheck the settings.
